Device compatibility
Check the devices, permissions and setup needed for CourtsidePlay on iPhone and Apple Watch.
iPhone and Apple Watch
The setup guide lists iOS 17 or later and watchOS 10 or later. Check the current App Store listing before downloading: requirements can change with app updates, and your iPhone and Watch must support the required operating systems.
What each device does
- iPhone: configure matches and review your saved match summaries.
- Apple Watch: score from your wrist and collect motion-based swing data and heart-rate readings.
- Health permissions: allow access to the health data you want to use for heart-rate and readiness features.
Before your first match
- Install CourtsidePlay on your paired iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Open the app on both devices and review the requested permissions.
- Choose your sport and match settings, then try a short practice match.
- Check that the result reaches your iPhone using your chosen sync mode.

Do I need additional sensors?
The core Watch analytics use the motion and health sensors already on your Apple Watch. You do not need an additional racket sensor. Android and Wear OS are not covered by this iPhone and Apple Watch app.
